Biennial Conference

Since 1994, PRSA has organized a Biennial Conference in which its members present their latest work in scholarly and applied research, pedagogy, creative arts and community activism.

Our even-year Biennial Conferences serve as spaces for the professional development of new generations of experts on Puerto Rican Studies, whether they are graduate students or junior faculty with tenure or non-tenure appointments. The conferences also serve as a venue for film and art exhibits, and for academic and trade publishers to showcase their most recent books on Puerto Rican Studies or related fields, such as Latino/Latina Studies, Latin American Studies, Caribbean Studies, or American Studies.
